Have you planned any activities for your child in the Summer Holidays?
Olé After School Spanish Club
Trying to learn a second language, whilst still perfecting the first makes it a great deal easier than learning a new language later on…… and when the learning is combined with social stimulation, it is challenging and fun. A combination of structured and leisure activities offers the perfect environment and exposes children to the right way of practicing Spanish.Primary school children greatly benefit from being introduced to a second language at a young age, when they are most receptive to learning and developing new abilities. However patience and determination is required as an investment for your child's future. The after school Spanish club has been designed for children from the age of 4 to 12, as follows:
PROGRAMS AND AGE GROUPS
Spanish for Pre-Schoolers (4-6)
Spanish for Primary School Children (6-8)
Spanish for Young Children (9-12)
VENUES AND TIMETABLE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY CENTERS

This is the perfect time to introduce children to the Spanish Language. At this age our child is learning how to talk and is able to start putting sentences together. This class is structured in such a way that learning happens naturally in a fun environment. Storytelling engages children's interest and triggers their imagination, movement and crafts encourages them to be hands-on and thy do not realize that are learning. They learn Spanish as part of their learning process to talk, which can make them bi-lingual.
At this age children are fully verbal and willing to expand their conversation skills. We do a lot of activities, such as role plays, which create emotional attachments, and emotion is the door to learning. They have to interact with other children and have to converse using Spanish though action games, which create excitement, challenge and co-ordination and re-enforce vocabulary.
At this age children are fully conversant and therefore dialogues are more fluent, and their brains are willing to explore and absorb new words. Here we also use a variety of games to re-enforce vocabulary. At this age, culture is a very important part in the process of learning Spanish. We introduce children to traditional foods, daily habits, festival traditions, etc.
